ANDREA CAMACHO MCCRACKEN

Andrea Camacho McCracken is a first-generation Mexican-American writer, director, and producer based in Los Angeles and Arizona. Her work uses genre to reimagine underrepresented narratives, exploring themes of identity, resilience, and the complexities of the American Dream, while capturing the emotional and cultural tensions of living between two worlds.
Her work has earned awards and recognition, including "25 Screenwriters to Watch in 2024" by Moviemaker Magazine, and "Best LatinX Short" at the Cleveland International Film Festival for her short film IN WONDERLAND. Her films have been recognized with “Best Screenplay” & “Best Female Director” awards and have showcased at over 30+ film festivals.
Andrea received her MFA in Directing at the AFI Conservatory and was a recipient of several scholarships, including the AFI Awards Audi Scholarship.
Most recently, she was selected for the 2025 Tyler Perry Studios Dream Collective, where she wrote and directed her short film, PUEBLO VIEJO.
Currently, she’s developing her debut feature of the same title.
